Note on names of procedures: Liposcution, Smart Lipo, Lipodissolve, Liposculpture
Patients are sometimes confused by the names of procedures. Liposuction is a mechanical treatment done with the aid of a laser (also known as Smart Lipo or Liposculpture) and is an FDA-approved procedure. Liposuction is performed by Dr Schlosser at the AVANTI Advanced Liposculpture Institute. Lipodissolve is a non-FDA approved chemical procedure which Dr. Schlosser's AVANTI Advanced Liposculpture Institute does not perform. Those interested in Lipodissolve should consult with the AVANTI staff to determine the most effective treatment.
